Celebrating the Season of Advent Westminster Presbyterian Church Chehalis, Washington Calendar of Events: On November 30, we light our first Advent candle, which represents...Jesus as The Bread of Life. The message will be “O Little Town of Bethlehem” from our Sing a Song of Christmas sermon series. Sunday morning services times are 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. On December 6, Westminster Bells will be in concert at 7:00 p.m. in the Westminster Presbyterian Church sanctuary. On December 7, we light our second Advent candle which represents...Jesus as Light of the World. The message for this Sunday will be “Joy to the World” from our sermon series Sing a Song of Christmas. Sunday morning services times are 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. On December 7, at 2:00 p.m. Westminster Bells will perform a Christmas Celebration afternoon concert at WPC. On December 7, Westminster Bells will play at Harrison Square Presbyterian Church in Centralia, for its final performance, at 7:00 p.m . On December 14, we light our third Advent candle, which represents...Jesus as The Prince Of Peace. “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” is the title for our message from the sermon series Sing a Song of Christmas. Sunday morning services times are 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. On December 14, at 6:00 p.m. the Children’s Christmas Pageant will present Passing It On: The True Story of Christmas. On December 17, Hope for the Holidays service will be held at 7:00 p.m. This special service is open to anyone, and is designed especially for those of us who find this time of the year to be difficult and challenging for a variety of reasons such as grief, pain, or loss associated with the Christmas Season. Come gain some healing and hope for Christmas...and in your life. On December 21, we light our fourth Advent candle that represents...Jesus as The Lamb of God. The message for this Sunday is “We Three Kings” from Sing a Song of Christmas sermon series. Sunday morning services times are 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. On December 24, WPC will celebrate Christmas Eve with three candlelight services at 6:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. which will include lighting of the final Advent Candle, the Christ Candle. These three services will include the Christmas story as told in Matthew and Luke and a Christmas Eve message titled, “What Might Jesus Say to Santa Claus?” Please come and be a part of celebrating the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus the Christ. |
